For your convenience, we offer our customers 3 ways to receive a FREE estimate.  We offer in-person consultations at your Lake Tahoe home or business, you can meet with us at our office, or you can submit your project drawings to us by email or fax. Once we have your measurements, your estimate, including estimated slab count, will be ready within 24-48 hours.

FAQs

Are quartzite kitchen countertops heat resistant?

Quartzite is extremely heat-resistant — withstanding temperatures up to 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit, making it suitable for placing hot pans or pots directly on the countertop without worrying about damage or discoloration. This property is especially important in a kitchen, where high temperatures are common.

Are granite countertops easy to clean?

Granite is a popular choice for outdoor stone countertops and kitchens because of its durability. It is also moisture resistant when properly sealed and it won’t fade in the sun.  Keep in mind that most natural stone countertops are porous, which makes them susceptible to mold and mildew growth if they are not properly sealed and maintained.

Are quartz kitchen countertops resistant to staining?

Quartz countertops exhibit high stain resistance but they are not completely stain-proof. Quartz countertops are susceptible to stains from coffee, tea, wine, turmeric, food dyes, and chemical spills. Fortunately, it is possible to remove stains from quartz countertops if the clean up is done quickly.

Is marble as durable as other stones used for countertops?

While marble is softer than granite or quartz, it is still a durable and versatile material. It is resistant to scratching and chipping, which makes it suitable for everyday kitchen use. When properly sealed and maintained, marble countertops can last for a long time.
